Forthcoming Sundays

 

I’m afraid that there will be no Colts this Sunday (15th July) due to lack of staff.

 

Blackheath men’s 1st XI have won the Surrey and Berkshire Group of the National Village Competition. We are now one of the last 32 villages left, out of about 1000 original entries from all over Britain. The next round of the competition, against the Hampshire champions, should have been played at Blackheath last Sunday but due to the rain it was postponed. This means that we have to travel away to Winchester to play next Sunday. All of our regular coaches are either on holiday or involved in that game.

 

We hope to start Colts sessions again the following Sunday (22nd July), but…

If we win our match in Winchester then your regular coaches will all be travelling to Norfolk (!!) that day for the next round and we may need to cancel Colts again.

I am away on holiday so please phone Clive Ennis on 01483 837935 to find out whether or not the Colts session is going ahead on 22nd July.

 

After that, Sunday morning sessions will continue as usual, so please keep coming along.

 

Grand Club Match and Barbeque

 

The Colts season will finish with a Grand Club Match and Barbeque on Sunday 12th August. The match, starting at 10am, is for all Colts of all ages (although some of the very youngest might like to play their own separate game).

The Barbeque will start at 12noon and the bar will be open. There will be a nominal (as yet undecided) charge for food.
