The first Saturday game of the season saw
Blackheath take on Old Woking in a pre-season friendly at home. Terry
Brockman produced an excellent wicket for so early in the season, which was
reflected in the match scores.
Blackheath lost the toss and were put in to bat in
a 45 over limited match.
Blackheath 213 for 5 off 45 overs
Old Woking 206 all out off 43.2 overs.
Blackheath won by 7 runs.

New boy Mike O'Mahoney made a classy 96 on his
club debut.
New Captain Dallas McDermott 40no.
Ed "Steady" Henderson 28.
and Clive "Funky Chicken" Ennis with a
usual cameo ending on 17no.
9 bowlers were used for Blackheath and the wickets
were shared around.
Karim "Banana balls" Tayar swung the
ball as far as humanly possible and ended up with 3 for 30 off 5 overs.
Mike O'Mahoney and Clive Ennis finished with 2 a
piece.
A good start to the year with a competitive
friendly match.
