Toss - Won by Worcester Park who put Blackheath in
to bat
Blackheath 86 all out from 53.1 overs
Worcester Park 87 for 0 from 18.3 overs
Worcester Park won by 10 wickets.
Blackheath were missing 4 of their top 6 batsmen
for this game from the previous week, and boy, did it show!
At 76 for 4 there was hope of posting a total of
around 150, which would give our bowlers something to work with.
Unfortunately, there was another typical Blackheath collapse and 6 wickets
were taken for just 8 runs.
Dallas McDermott top scored with 21.
The only positive to take out of the innings was
the fact that we batted for 53 overs, something we haven't done this season,
although it was like watching paint dry.
Worcester park bowled and fielded well throughout
the innings and gave nothing away.
Worcester Park cruised to victory with their
opening bats finishing not out on 37 and 38.
The game was well and truly over after blackheath
had bowled only 3 overs with the score being 26 for 0.
Clive Ennis and Tim Seebold were given some overs
of off-spin to bowl, which slowed down the run-rate if nothing else.
Clive bowled quite well considering he has just
started converting to off-spin.
Blackheath were beaten by a superior team who will
probably feature in the top end of the table at the end of the year.
