2004 SEASON STARTS WITH A WIN AND A PAUL COPE SPECIAL

(from your correspondent Graham Webb)

Paul Cope reached into his portfolio of many talents and pulled out another culinary tour de force on Saturday 24th April to get the new season underway after the 1st XI had made a winning start on the field.

Although I couldn't be at the game my spies (well, OK, Billie Hockley) tell me that the new look 1st XI, captained by Dallas McDermott, were victorious in their pre-League warm-up match against Old Woking. Success on the field was followed by success in the kitchen where Paul Cope produced a choice of salmon in dill sauce with new potatoes or sausage and mash for the assembled throng. If you missed it, make sure you're there next time (and I'll do my best to post details in advance on this website).
