| This one was rained off, but keep a date in your diary for Saturday 21st September. The 1st 11 have challenged us to a game. They have upped the ante of this 'Friendly' inter-club fixture with the following comments. Apparently we're all muppets, game will be over by 4 O'Clock so will need to have 2 innings. They will give us some of their players to even out the teams. They'll put a bell on the ball so we can pick it up more easily etc etc.... Don't despair I am currently negotiating with Duncan Fletcher and Nasser Hussain to release Simon Jones, Steve Harmison and Andrew Flintoff for this fixture. In the infamous words of Sly Stallone in the film First Blood, ''They drew First blood, not me!!!!'' | |
