PEOPLE ARE ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT BLACKHEATH CRICKET CLUB.WHAT I WANT TO KNOW IS HOW COME THE TEAMS ARE NOT PERFORMING AS THEY SHOULD IF YOU THINK THAT THEIR HOLE SETUP IS SORT OF RUNNING SMOOTHLY.I HAVE COME TO BHCC FOR ALMOST 17 YEARS AND IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A PLEASURE,BUT THIS SEASON HAS BEEN A MISSERY.IVE ALSO WATCHED A FEW HOME GAMES OF THE FIRST11 AT HOME AND IT WAS A DISGRACE WATHING THEM THROWING THEIR WICKETS AWAY WHEN THEY WERE CHASING RUNS.I DO BELEIVE THAT THE PLAYERS HAVE THE TALENT TO DO THE JOB BUT SOMETHING SEEM TO BE MISSING.I HAVE ALSO SEEN CERTAIN PLAYERS IN THE TEAM HAVING A GO AT EACH OTHER AND I THINK THAT IS OUT OF ORDER,AS THAT PLAYERS ARE NOT CONTRIBUTING IN ANY WAYS THEMSELVES.WE ALL WANT TO SEE BHCC GET PROMOTED NEXT YEAR SO PLEASE DO YOUR BEST OR PUT YOURSELVES OUT OF YOUR MISSERY. Anyway I'll be listening out for the accent in future. I certainly hold my hand up to "throwing my wicket away" last Saturday, after reaching 29 I should have hung around for another hour and secured at least 1 end of the pitch. We certainly could do with more application in the batting department from the top 6. Our bowling was a plus and was great to 4 'Heath bowlers bowling wicket to wicket for 50 overs. Congratulations to Mr Botha and Hendersen especially. Keep up the good work Eddie, looks like the luck has come at last, after many good but fruitless spells. Botha, your the man! 4-45 off 20 overs, more of that on Saturday and perhaps a 2hr 50 as well !!! Come on lads lets get down to it - Keep the simple things right and work hard
